In an Instagram Live session, Croft revealed that she’s recorded her debut solo album and plans to release it “soon.” She also performed one of the album’s songs, called “Weightless.”
“I have loads of songs,” she said. “I’m excited to try something new.”
Croft described the sound of the upcoming record as “fun” and “upbeat,” adding that it won’t exactly be guitar-focused.
The xx’s most recent album is 2017’s I See You, which includes the single “On Hold.”
